Overconfidence like that is loud, and he has no idea who he’s dealing with. Still, they play along with River’s plan, watching from the trailer window as the guy digs himself deeper with every word. No need to rush. There’s plenty of time to kill before the hammer drops. And it doesn’t help that spring’s coming early this year. The little mobile home is warm and humid, baking in the sun. Oliver and Alex are shirtless, sweating, posted up like they’ve got nowhere to be and nothing to prove. Two good-looking trailer boys, a quiet afternoon, and a plan already in motion.
